Mediterranean Hard-Boiled Egg Protein Box
Skip the coffee-shop markup and build your own protein box at home in under 15 minutes. This Mediterranean-inspired version keeps the classic combination of hard-boiled eggs, cheese, lean deli turkey, whole-grain crackers, grapes, and baby carrots, but adds a few simple swaps that bring it closer to the traditional Mediterranean way of eating: a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a sprinkle of dried oregano, a handful of olives, and whole-grain crackers instead of refined ones. The result is a balanced, grab-and-go lunch loaded with protein, fiber, healthy fats, and natural sweetness from the fruit. This protein box is endlessly customizable and perfect for meal prepping ahead of busy weekdays. Hard-boil a batch of eggs on Sunday, portion everything into compartmentalized containers, and you'll have a satisfying, nutrient-dense lunch ready whenever you need it. The combination of protein from eggs, turkey, and cheese with fiber-rich carrots, grapes, and whole-grain crackers helps keep blood sugar steady and hunger at bay, while the olive oil drizzle and olives add the heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that are a hallmark of the Mediterranean diet. Beyond convenience, this lunch is a great way to practice portion control and mindful eating without sacrificing flavor or variety. Each component can be swapped based on what's in your fridge: feta or mozzarella instead of cheddar, hummus instead of turkey for a vegetarian version, or cherry tomatoes instead of grapes. However you build it, this protein box proves that a healthy, satisfying lunch doesn't require a trip to the café.
