Grilled Harissa Salmon over Cucumber-Tomato Salad with Dairy-Free Lemon Dressing
This vibrant dinner pairs smoky, spiced harissa salmon with a crisp, refreshing cucumber-tomato salad, making it a perfect low-FODMAP weeknight meal that doesn't skimp on flavor. The harissa paste is built from gut-friendly spices and garlic-infused olive oil instead of raw garlic and onion, so you get all the warmth and depth of classic harissa without the fermentable triggers. A quick sear on a hot grill pan locks in the char and keeps the salmon moist and flaky. The salad underneath is simple but bright: chopped cucumber, juicy tomatoes, and fresh herbs tossed in a dairy-free dressing of lemon juice, olive oil, and a touch of maple syrup. Together, the cool salad and the spicy fish create a balance of temperatures and textures that feels indulgent but comes together in under 20 minutes. It's an ideal option for anyone managing IBS symptoms who still wants a restaurant-quality meal at home. Because every ingredient here is naturally low-FODMAP certified at standard serving sizes—no onion, garlic cloves, honey, or high-FODMAP produce—this dish is safe for the elimination phase while still being bold and satisfying enough for everyday family dinners.
