Espresso Dark Chocolate Mousse with Sea Salt
This Espresso Dark Chocolate Mousse with Sea Salt proves that a South Beach Diet-friendly dessert can still feel indulgent and sophisticated. Instead of heavy cream and refined sugar, this mousse gets its luscious texture from thick Greek yogurt, which adds a protein boost while keeping the saturated fat and sugar content in check. Sugar-free dark chocolate and a touch of espresso powder create a deep, complex flavor that's balanced by a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top, giving every bite a sweet-salty contrast reminiscent of a fine patisserie dessert. Perfect for Phase 1 or any phase of the South Beach Diet, this mousse comes together in just minutes and requires only a short chill time to set. It's an ideal make-ahead treat for dinner parties, date nights, or whenever a chocolate craving strikes without derailing your health goals. The espresso powder not only deepens the chocolate flavor but also gives a subtle energizing lift, making this dessert feel like a true indulgence while staying aligned with low-glycemic, high-protein eating principles.
